Ann Keeney Meise, age 82, of Milford and beloved wife to David A. Meise, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 02, 2014 at home with her family by her side. Born on January 24, 1932 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Irene Bonitz Keeney. Ann was the Executive Secretary for the Dean of Men at Fordham University and for Dr. Raymond Vener (one of the developers of the atom bomb) at M.W. Kellogg Construction and Engineering Company. Ann also worked in the Foreign Service Section of the U.S. State Department and was proud of holding a Top Secret clearance. Through her years, Ann was active at the Resurrection Parish in Rye, NY. Besides her family, one of her greatest passions was listening to opera, and she loved to visit the Met with her husband David. Ann was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband David, she is survived by her children Christopher Keeney (Joyce) Meise, Ann Marie (Kourosh) Moayedi, and Justin O'Hara (Erica) Meise; grandchildren Kevin, Brian, and Kelsey Meise, Ashley Moayedi, and Alexandra, Elissa, and Stephen Meise; siblings Dorothy, Rita, and James. She is predeceased by her siblings Joan and Thomas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 6th, at 10 AM at Christ The Redeemer Church, 325 Oronoque Road, Milford CT 06461 (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
