Lowy, Charlotte
Charlotte B. Lowy, age 98 of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital. Charlotte was born in Harlem, NY, a daughter of the late Max and Helen Linden. Mrs. Lowy lived in Bridgeport most of her life. She worked for asbestos distributors and as a bookkeeper for G.E. Charlotte was also a past president of the Na'amat Pioneer Women, secretary at Congregation Agudas Achim, and volunteered at the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Her family would like to thank Pauline, Shondre, Lindsey, and Paulette for their excellent care. Mrs. Lowy was survived by her beloved daughter, Joyce Dollmann and her husband Glenn, by her devoted daughter-in-law Adrienne Lowy, by her cherished grandchildren Lauren Elliott and her husband Robert, Michelle Sullivan, Lisa Leverich, Jodi Douglas and her husband Dervann, Wendy Hotchkiss and her husband Jared, and by her adored great-grandchildren, Laura Sullivan, Stephen Sullivan, Sean Elliott, Tom Elliott, Vanessa Leverich, Julianna Hotchkiss, and Alexa Hotchkiss. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband Alfred Lowy, and by her son Richard Lowy. Services will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM from the Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Road in Fairfield, with interment following at the Beth El Cemetery in Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Agudas Achim, Arlington Street in Bridgeport.
