Nicole L. Loban, aka Samantha Stevens, of Naugatuck entered into rest on Monday, July 28, 2014, in her home. She was the devoted wife of Steven Loban. Nicole was born in Bridgeport on February 5, 1970, beloved daughter of Louis and Christina (Ekvall) Luciani, and was raised in Shelton. She lived in Naugatuck for 9 years. She graduated from Shelton High School class of '88 and was a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University class of '92, where she served as a radio personality and General Manager of WOWL Radio. A popular local radio personality, she began her career at KC101 in New Haven where she enjoyed 13 years, plus 96.5 TIC in Hartford, 95.9 The Fox in Norwalk, the former Kool 96.7 in Norwalk, Lite 100.5 in Farmington, and Webe 108 in Bridgeport. She was the midday host of STAR 99.9 in Bridgeport and also served as the Program Director for over 4 years. Her Super 80's Radio show aired online on along with several broadcast stations around the world. In addition to her husband and parents, Nicole is survived by her loving sister Daniele Jurewicz and her husband Joseph, her mother-in-law Barbara Loban, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was devoted to her cats, and leaves two cherished pets behind. Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, on Friday from 4 to 8 PM. Her funeral service will begin on Saturday at the Riverview Funeral Home at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Torrington.
