Perigyi, Ernest
Ernest ("Bob") Perigyi, age 86, a lifelong resident of Newtown CT, was a loving and dedicated husband to Maryann Csvihinka Perigyi for 65 years. He passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at his home. Born in Bridgeport to the late, Charles and Susan Pirigyi. Ernest proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Korean War. He had worked for Paul S. Yoney, where he was a sheet metal worker and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers' International Association Local Union # 38 for fifty years. He was an avid bowler and golfer, and most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his beloved wife, Maryann, Ernest's memory will be cherished by his loving daughters, Susan Bailey, and her husband, Larry, of Newtown, CT, Maryanne Harayda, and her husband, John, of Shelton, CT and Judy Perigyi, and her husband, Stephen Henderson, of San Diego, CA. He is the beloved grandfather of six grandchildren, Joseph Harayda, Robert Harayda, Kristin Gallant, and her husband, Jeff, Alisha Henderson, Judy Tracy, and her husband, Mark, Paula Newmark, and her husband, Roland; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Sean, Natalie, and Reagan; and many, many loving nieces and nephews. Ernest was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Pirigyi, and Alex Perigyi; and a sister, Bessie Nagy. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, August 24, 2014 from 2-6 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. A Prayer service will take place at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Connecticut Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association, CT Chapter APDA, P.O.
