Elizabeth Platko Obituary

PLATKO Elizabeth (Tomasko) Platko, age 99 of Stratford, died Monday, January 12, 2009 at Carolton Convalescent Hospital. She was the widow of Joseph Platko. She was born in Bridgeport to the late Stephen and Susie Tomasko and had been a Stratford resident for most of her life. She retired from Sikorsky Aircraft. She is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, James and Francine Platko of Milford; three grandchildren, Scott Platko, Laura Platko and Adam Platko; and two great-granddaughters, Alexandria and Ashley. She was predeceased by her son, Donald Platko; daughter-in-law, Dolores (Plasa) Platko; five brothers; and five sisters. Friends are invited to attend the funeral Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in St. John Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Thursday from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. in the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
