MARKS Ida Sarah Rifkin Marks, passed away on February 10, 2010. Mrs. Marks was born January 05, 1919 to Max Rifkin and Rebecca Paushter Rifkin in Bridgeport. Her siblings included Harvey (Harry) Rifkin, Ottile (Tillie) Rifkin Lieberman, and Joseph Rifkin, all deceased, and Edith Rifkin Koenig of Tamarac, Fla. Ida was born into a traditional Jewish family in Bridgeport, but spent her school years in New York. She returned to Bridgeport where she worked at a soda fountain and later in a secretarial capacity until she married and began to raise her four children. That brought her to Texas. Ida is survived by her four children, Barry Elliot Marks of Sheridan, Ark., Robert Stephen Marks and wife, Joyce of Houston, Texas, Michael Lester Marks and wife, Cherri of Houston, Texas and Beverly Sue Marks Skorcz and husband, Charles of Sheridan, Ark., formerly of Houston, Texas; beloved grandchildren, Heather Kirchoff, Stephanie Marks, Alan Henson, Jeffrey Marks, Jennica Skorcz Fulton, Alex Skorcz and Matthew Skorcz; and precious great-grandchildren, Jax, Maddie and Quinn Kirchoff, Aidan and Bella Henson. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. DIRECTLY at Rodeph Sholom Cemetery in Fairfield. The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
