MARSALA Paul J. Marsala Sr., age 86, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday September 29, 2010 in Milford hospital. Born in Scranton Pa. he was the son of Calogero and Angela (Augello) Marsala, he was an area resident most of his life before moving to Pompano Beach, Fla. Paul was a retired engineer for Avco Lycoming Co. and later worked as chief building inspector for the City of Bridgeport. He served honorably in United States Navy Seabees, in the Pacific Theater on the ground, Midway Island and Okinawa. The family would like to thank West River Rehabilitation Center, and Milford Hospital for caring for Paul during his stay. Survivors include one son, Paul J. (Joey) Marsala Jr. of Milford; two daughters, Kathleen Jones and her husband, Greg of Milford, and Mary Beth Tobin and her husband, Jack of Bridgeport; two sisters, Marge Marsala and Pearl Courtright, both of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Lisa Robante, Amber Marsala, John and Brian Tobin; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 10 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Margaret Shrine, 2539 Park Ave, Bridgeport, with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. in The Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
