Ralph E. Rappa

RAPPA Ralph E. Rappa, age 74, of North Branford, died on Friday, October 17, 2003, at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven. He was the husband of Eleanor Guarnieri Rappa; and father of Lisa (Dr. Thomas) Sullivan, and Pamela (William) McKernan. His grandchildren, Cayla, Brandon, Michael and Collin were the light of his life. He also leaves his dogs, Rodney, Willy, Rapper and Lady Bird. Mr. Rappa was born in New Haven, on September 10, 1929, a son of Theresa Festa Rappa, and the late Ralph Rappa. He had worked in the Human Resources Department at United Technologies for 35 years. He was a graduate of the University of Connecticut and was an avid Huskies fan. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Annex YMA Club and the Setback Club for 40 years. Funeral from the Iovanne Funeral Home Inc., 11 Wooster Place, New Haven, on Monday at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Augustine Church at 10 a.m. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
