BOLTON James A. Bolton Jr., age 78, of Shelton, beloved husband of Alice Larsen Bolton, died peacefully on June 1, 2011 at Lord Chamberlain Nursing facility. Born in Providence, RI he resided in Warwick, RI until moving to Connecticut in 1974. He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Providence College and was the owner on ENER-G-TECH, Inc. in Stratford. Jim was a Fourth Degree Knight and a member of Bernardo Council 1350 in Shelton and the Bishop Nilan Council. He was an active parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Shelton where he had served on the finance committee. His family was his #1 love and he also enjoyed the Rhode Island beaches, golf and the summer weather. In addition to his devoted wife, he is survived by his children; Joanne Bolton Young and her husband, Greg, of Shelton and their children, Kristen, Katie Lawrence and her husband, Matt, Tracy and Alicia; Deacon Timothy Bolton and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Stratford and their children, Timothy Jr., Meagan, Kaitlin and Matthew; Paul Bolton and his wife, Eugenia, of Shelton and their children, Michael and Shannon; Maureen Bolton Kandro and her husband, Richard of Shelton and their children, Steven and Laura one great granddaughter, Julia Lawrence; his sister, Mary Ann McGwin of Rhode Island and his brother, Rev. Paul J. Bolton US Army Retired. He was predeceased by his sister, Natalie Bolton. Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 9:30 am DIRECTLY at St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Ave., Shelton, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by his brother, Rev. Paul Bolton. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family Friday from 4 to 8 pm at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main St., Stratford. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Jim's memory to, Bernardo Council, Knights of Columbus, 50 Fairmont Pl., Shelton, CT 06484.
