CERVONE Daniel Joseph Cervone, age 52, of Monroe, beloved husband of Lynn Bretton Cervone, died peacefully on Monday January 30, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on February 25, 1959 he was a son of Angelo Cervone of Monroe and the late Georgiana Yacovielle Cervone. He was the owner and operator for the past 18 years of Cervone's Chem-Dry. Dan embraced and lived life to the fullest; he was a kind and generous person who was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. But above all Dan was a loving and caring husband and father, who cherished the time he spent with his family. In the last eleven months of his life, he fought this relentless and insidious disease with a courage and resolve that will ever be an example to those who loved him. In addition to his beloved wife of 20 years, Lynn, and his father Angelo and wife Camille, survivors include four cherished children, Lea Cervone and her husband Adam of Fairfield, Derek Cervone of Trumbull, Daniel Cervone and Christina Cervone both of Monroe, a sister, Dana Cervone and her partner Rachel Hart of Branford, brothers, David Cervone of Redding and Don Cervone and his wife Judith of Newtown, his mother-in-law, Amy Bretton of Enfield, his father-in-law, Joseph Bretton of Newtown, as well as several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Gathering celebrating his life will take place on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund to benefit Daniel's children through the funeral director.
