FEDA Joseph D. Feda age 85 of Stratford, the beloved husband of Mary Fechik Feda passed away peacefully on March 10, 2012 in Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Fairfield. Joseph was born on November 7, 1926 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Frank and Patricia LaBozetta Feda. He was a veteran of the United States 13th Army Air Corp. Air and Sea Rescue and served in the South Pacific. Joseph was employed as a technician in the material lab at Norden Systems of Norwalk and after retiring spent fifteen years teaching at Platt Technical School. Joseph was aCub Scout Master for pack #172 of Garden School in Stratford for many years, a volunteer for the Special Olympics, umpire for girls fast pitch softball PAL in Stratford, enjoyed being around children and was an avid bowler. In addition to his beloved wife Mary of fifty-nine years, he is also survived by his two sons Frank Feda and wife Janet of Sudbury, Mass, Dave Feda and Mary Bush of Wallingford, one daughter Patrice Feda of Maine, two granddaughters Michelle and Jennifer, one brother Rocco Feda and wife Elizabeth of Woodbury, one sister Catherine Ciacci of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March13, 2012 at 9:00 AM in The Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home 2220 Main Street Stratford and at 10:00 AM in St. Mark Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Birendra Soreng. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
