DORFF Sister Anne Marie Dorff, SSND, age 74, of Trumbull , went to be with the Lord, on April 30, 2012. She was born in Brooklyn , NY on March 28, 1938, the first child of the late John J. and Anna M. (Seith) Dorff. She graduated from St. Anselm's Elementary School, taught by the School Sisters of Notre Dame and graduated from Holy Angels Academy in 1955. She professed First Vows as a School Sister of Notre Dame on July 27, 1957. She attended Notre Dame Teacher Training College in Baltimore and continued her schooling with a Bachelor of Science from Notre Dame of Maryland University and a Master of Arts in Education from Hofstra University . She taught at St. Benedict School in Baltimore City , MD from 1958-1968 and at St. Brigid School in Westbury , NY from 1968-1978. She was the principal of St. Catherine of Siena School in Trumbull from 1978-2009 where she touched the lives of so many students and families. After her retirement she was an assistant teacher at St. Catherine Special Education Academy. She is survived by two sisters Sister John Maureen Dorff, MSBT of Philadelphia, PA and Jeanne Marie Dorff of Brooklyn , NY ; one brother Michael Dorff of Manhattan , NY and SSND community members. She was predeceased by her brother Reverend John Joseph Dorff, CSSR. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Catherine of Siena Church , 220 Shelton Rd. , Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery Bethel, CT . Friends may call on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT.
