BUDNIK Irene Budnik, age 72 of Smith Street, Seymour, entered into peaceful rest Saturday, December 10, 2005, she was the beloved wife of 49 years to Joseph Budnik. Mrs. Budnik was born October 12, 1933 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late William and Mary (Selepes) Selepec. She was a communicant of the Three Saints Orthodox Church, Ansonia for fifty years, and a Seymour resident for more than 40 years. She was an Associate Real Estate Agent with the Edgewood Realty Company of Seymour. Her hobbies included reading and a love of animals. Irene will most be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Besides her husband, Mrs. Budnik leaves her loving family including two sons, Robert Budnik and his wife, Sheri, of Prospect, Daniel Budnik and his wife, Kate, of Southington; two daughters, Eileen Sztuka and her husband, Edward, of Duluth, Ga., and Ellen Reichelt and her husband, Kevin, of Seymour; a brother, George Selepec and his wife, Carole, of Orange, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Beranger Selepec of Huntington, and six cherished grandchildren. Her brother William Selepec predeceased her. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to Three Saints Orthodox Church for a service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
