Jenacaro, Josephine
Josephine Mary (Mure) Jenacaro, age 92 of Fairfield, the beloved wife of the late James "Jimmy" Vincent Jenacaro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at St. Vincent Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Passaic, NJ on April 24, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Anna Maria (Vena) Mure. She moved to Fairfield at an early age and resided in Bridgeport and Fairfield for most of her life. Josephine's happiest moments were spent cooking Italian "Feasts" for her family and the family gatherings in her home. She was always known for her stylish fashion and vivacious personality. Up until the time of her illness, Josephine worked at Tomlinson Middle School in Fairfield in the cafeteria. In her leisure time, she would look forward to trips to the Casino. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to Rose Pereiro, her personal caregiver of 4 years, and the staff at Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehab for their many years of kind and compassionate care. Josephine is survived by her loving family, her son, Ross Jenacaro and friend Betty Karkut of Trumbull CT., a daughter of Las Vegas, NV., and a daughter, Lucia Jenacaro Williams and husband Kevin of Silver Springs, MD., her grandchildren, Alec James and Matthew Nicholas, Ryan Sanford, Josie Soto, Stephanie, Becky and Katie Williams, a stepson, Bobby "Hop Sing" Sickinger, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Grace Mure LaRusso, Samuel Mure, Concetta Mure Bove, Marie Mure Jenacaro and Thomas Mure. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM DIRECTLY in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd., Fairfield for a Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
