Gaydos, Edward J.
Edward J. Gaydos, age 87, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Wilma (Plasko) Gaydos, died on Saturday, December 29, 2012. Mr. Gaydos was born in Bridgeport to the late Andrew and Mary (Hugya) Gaydos. Mr. Gaydos was a World War II, US Navy veteran and served with the Seabees at Iwo Jima in the Pacific Theatre. He retired as a foreman from Yoney Construction where he had been employed for many years. Mr. Gaydos was a member of the Trumbull VFW. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two beloved children, Edward "Jim" J. Gaydos of Trumbull and Donna Carlson and her husband, Frank, of Voluntown; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Andrew Gaydos and Raymond Gaydos; and one sister, Ethel Gotta. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 9:00 am at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford and at 10:00 am at Saints Cyril and Methodius Church with Monsignor Joseph Pekar officiating.
