GREENE Mary S. Nemergut Greene, age 83, of the Stevenson section of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Harry E. Greene, died on Wednesday, November 19, 2003, at the Bishop Wicke Health Care Center, Shelton, following a long illness. Born in Stratford, on May 4, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Creevy Nemergut. Mrs. Greene was a homemaker and a Stevenson resident for most of her life. She is survived by her devoted children, Ret. Sgt. Harry G. Greene, Monroe P.D. of Stevenson, and Richard E. Greene and his wife, Patricia, of Shelton, and Judith Garner and her husband, Raymond L., of Maryland; sisters, Bertha Pruzinsky and Jeane Nemergut, both of Stratford; grandchildren, Glen Greene and Darcy Greene, both of Monroe, Atty. Richard Greene and David Greene, both of Shelton, and Lauren Pascarelli and her husband, Kenneth, of Shelton; great-grandchildren, Brett and Tia Pascarelli, both of Shelton; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Stephen, George and John Nemergut; and sister, Anne Johnson. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2003, at 8 a.m. from the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), Monroe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), Monroe, at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Monroe Center Cemetery, Monroe.
