Jayson B. Rome age 89, of Laguna Woods, California, beloved husband of 67 years to Rose G. Rome died peacefully on (xx) at (xx). In 1947, he co-founded 'Jay James Camera Shop' in Bridgeport. He was instrumental in the development of the Photographic Research Organization (PRO) and served on the board of PMA (Photographic Marketing Association) from 1984-1992. He was Vice President of the Congregation Rodeph Sholom in Bridgeport and very active in the Barnum Festival Society andthe Bridgeport Rotary Club. He was also a second generation Mason. In 1995, he helped to establish the Reform Temple of Laguna Woods, California, where he served as President and member of the choir. He also served as a Board Member of the Foundation of Laguna Woods Village. He will be remembered for his beautiful baritone voice, his great sense of humor, and his generosity to others.Jayson is predeceased by two sisters; Shirley and Elaine, and one brother, Lawrence. He is survived by his loving wife Rose, four sons, Jeffrey and Susan Rome of Boston , Jonathan Rome and GretchenVan Horne of San Francisco, Stuart and Catherine Rome of Philadelphia , and David and Edna Rome of New York City and grandchildren Justin, Matthew, Zoe, Sarah and Ava. Funeral services were held.
