Ruth Dingwall Obituary
Ruth Dingwall, age 96, of Fairfield, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital. She was a loving mother to her three children, Douglas Dingwall of Hewitt, NJ, Kenneth Dingwall of West Nyack, NY, and Jean Brooks and her husband James of Jackson, MS, and a loving grandmother to her three grandchildren James Brooks and his wife LaKina of Hartford, Anne Brooks of Lexington, Kentucky, and Carolyn Brooks of Atlanta, Georgia as well as to her five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Burton Van Hise of Milford and several nieces and nephews. Born in Bridgeport, Mrs. Dingwall had been a resident of Parish Court in Fairfield for the last 30 years. She enjoyed reading and playing cards with family members and with the other residents at Parish Court and the Carolton. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Port Jefferson, NY. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service. Dear Kenny, Doug, and Jeannie-- My sincere sympathy on the loss of your mom Aunt Ruth.
