BROADNAX, Charles D.
Charles D. Broadnax, age 87 of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Born in Madison, GA, Charles was a resident Bridgeport city for the past sixty years. He was a WW II veteran of the U.S. Navy and a former member of the V.F.W. Charles was a member of East End Baptist Tabernacle Church. He was a cabinet maker with his own business, "Woodworkers". Survivors include his estranged wife, Georgia Lawrence Broadnax of Bridgeport; two sons, Elder Emerson Broadnax of Bridgeport and Henry L. Broadnax of Naugatuck; three daughters, Dealia Daniels of GA, Linda Torres of West Haven and Dorothy Whittington of GA; his loving companion, Justine Turner of Bridgeport; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday 8:00 pm at Morton's Mortuary, Inc., 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport with Elder Emerson Broadnax, officiating. Interment will take place Friday 10:00 am in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends are invited to the viewing Thursday from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. See www.mortonsmortuary.com
