DeWitt, Raymond R.
Raymond R. DeWitt, age 17, of Bridgeport, beloved son of Barbara Stelmaszek and Dennis DeWitt, passed away very suddenly on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at St. Vincent's Medical Center due to a heart condition. Born in Bridgeport, Raymond had been a lifelong area resident. He was about to begin his junior year at Central High School. "Dr. Felix" as he was affectionately known was a special, loving, kind hearted, friendly young man who was always there for anyone who needed him. He will be sorely missed by all those who loved him. Survivors in addition his parents include a brother, Dennis (DJ) DeWitt of Bridgeport and a sister, Juliana DeWitt of Bridgeport; a loving niece, Tessa-Paige Riccio; his maternal grandfather, Adam Stelmaszek and his wife Joanne of Fairfield; a special aunt, Sue Eszenyi and her husband Steve and their sons, Steven and Robert of Trumbull, and two uncles, Richard Stelmaszek of Fairfield and Adam (Jay) Stelmaszek. Jr. of Fairfield; several cousins, and his best friend Michael Scamanici of Bridgeport. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Joyce DeWitt and his maternal grandmother, Gladys Stelmaszek. Friends may greet the family Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may me made to the Spear-Miller Funeral Home.
