Lofaro, Matthew S.
Matthew Scott Lofaro, age 28, resident of Milford and beloved son to Michael and LeeAnn Watkins Lofaro, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Born in Fredericksburg, VA on October 6, 1985, he attended Jonathan Law and St. Joseph's High School and received a BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in Hotel & Restaurant Management. He worked for awhile in his father's local home improvement business, Berkeley Exteriors, and continued completing certifications in the energy and solar fields. He recently had taken a sales and consultant position with a local solar equipment company. He was an avid sports fan following his college and pro sports teams and sharing in those events with family and friends. He touched the lives of many of the people he met with his warm, genuine and giving personality. He had an extraordinary gift of verbally embracing people's hearts and endearing himself to them. He recently took up stand up comedy classes as a hobby to bring joy and laughter to even more people.
He is survived by his brothers, Mark and Chris, as well as several Aunts and Uncles; Mike and Arlene Lucas, Rocco and Pat Lofaro, Daniel and Leanne Lofaro, John Watkins, Joanne and Scott Watkins-Wiseman, Frank and Pat Lofaro, and Bob and Linda Butterworth. Also his cousins; Nick Lucas, Ivy and Scott Watkins, Francesca and Dominick Lofaro, Ryan and Zach Watkins-Wiseman, Erin and Liz Lofaro, and Brian and Lindsey Butterworth. He is also survived by his Great-Grandmother Ada Sanger and "Nana " Joan Mihok. He was predeceased by Grandparents Harry and Joan Watkins, and Rocco and Emmaline Lofaro as well as his Uncle Scott Watkins. He will be in our hearts forever and severely missed by all.
A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, October 28th at 11:00 am at Cody-White Funeral Home with Reverend Edward Rawls officiating. Interment to follow at King's Highway Cemetery.
