Neverdousky, Sr., Charles P.
Charles Peter Neverdousky, Sr., 80 years young, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after a seven year battle with bladder and brain cancer. He was born to the late Joseph and Anna Neverdousky and was a life-long resident of Fairfield, Connecticut.
Charlie attended Fairfield Preparatory High School and served in the United States Army and in the Korean War. While in the military, he married the late Margaret (Margie) Dolores Salik and they were together for 25 years. Upon returning home from Korea, Charlie and Margie started their family and he proudly worked for his father, Joseph Neverdousky & Sons, Inc. building residential homes in Fairfield County.
He was an avid reader, loved playing bocce (member of Fairfield and Milford Clubs), attending football games with his friends and classic car shows with his son, Charlie. He enjoyed many friendships where he is well remembered from Al's Place - "The Breakfast Club," Fairfield Slow Pitch at Sturges Park, The "49" Wonder Team and All for East Football '54" team. He was also a first team center on the All-Army football team when he served in Japan.
Charlie is survived by his son, Charles (Cheryl Langille) Neverdousky, Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL; daughters, Nancy (John) Rudnik of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Rosanne (Bruce) Beals of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Stephanie O'Donnell and Charles Neverdousky, III; John and Sarah Rudnik; brother, James (Mary) Neverdousky, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Charlie was predeceased by his brothers, Peter and Joseph and his sister, Carol Soracco. His kind heart will be missed by all.
