KEENAN - Ursula B. (Deneen) Keenan, age 95, of Stratford beloved wife of the late Stratford Police Captain Paul M. Keenan entered eternal life Friday, November 22, 2013 in the Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility, Stratford. Mrs. Keenan was born October 25, 1918 in New York City, daughter of the late Richard and Ursula (Cordan) Deneen and was a longtime Stratford resident. She was retired from Warnaco, was an avid reader and scrabble player, loved dogs and classical music. Survivors include her two children, Marjorie Smeraglinolo of Stratford and Paul Keenan of Stratford; two grandsons, Christopher Smeraglinolo of Milford and Mark Smeraglinolo of Chicago; two great grandsons, Jack and Thomas Smeraglinolo; one sister, Marjorie Blake of West Haven and many nieces and nephews. Ursula's family would like to thank the second floor nurses and the staff of the Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility for the wonderful care given to their mom. Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. Interment will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with family Tuesday morning before service time from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Keenan's memory may be to the Stratford Animal Shelter, 225 Beacon Point Rd, Stratford, CT 06615.
