Kevin Greene Obituary
Kevin M. Greene, age 53, of Waterbury, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Kevin, a former employee of Lowe's (Derby) Electrical Department, and Master Electric, was born in Bridgeport, beloved son of Joseph and Carol (O'Connor) Greene of Stratford. He was a 1978 graduate of Bullard Havens Technical High School, and was an avid sports fan, especially cheering on the NY Yankees, and NY Giants. Kevin spent over twenty years as an ASA Umpire, and over twenty years coaching basketball, with fifteen of those years at St. Mark's recording over 400 wins, including the 2009 CYO Championship, of which he was especially proud. Survivors in addition to his beloved parents, include his fiancé, Jessica Morea of Waterbury, his devoted sons, Timothy Greene and his wife Aimee, and Neil Greene and his wife Jenna, all of Arizona, his cherished grandson Mason, a brother Terrence Greene of NJ, 2 sisters Margaret (Peg) Maziuk (Mike Driscoll) of Seymour, and Susan Shea of Shelton, 2 nieces, and 7 nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 12th at 9 a.m. in St. Mark Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford (Meet directly at church). Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Friends may greet his family on Friday from 5-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Dear Mr and Mrs Greene, Terry, Peggy, Susan, Jessica, Kevin's Boy's and extended family. I am so saddend by Kevin's loss. I was a boyhood friend of Kevin's from the Remington street days. While adulthood separated us he was always such a smile and part of the fabric of my growing up. My heart hurts. I hope your love and faith carry you through this time and the days to follow. I was touched that Kevin touched so many through his coaching and other activities. Today its hard not to shed a few tears thinking of him but his legacy will be that when I think of him.
