BUTZKO Marjorie Bourne Butzko, age 84, of Fairfield, beloved wife of Robert Butzko, died on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Newfoundland to the late Charles and Lucy Burry Bourne, Majorie was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had been a resident of Fairfield and Bridgeport for 50 years. She was a retired officer of Thermtrol Corp., graduating from the French Academy of Design in New York City. Marjorie enjoyed making clothing for her family and friends. Throughout the years, she and her husband were both very dedicated to several charities including, the Thomas Merton House, American Cancer Association and several projects in India, building churches and schools and most recently St. Joseph's High School in India. In addition to her devoted husband of 50 years, she is survived by a brother, Charles Bourne and his wife, Marion, of California; two sisters, Anita Luczkow and her husband, Gene, of Nevada and Elizabeth Cabassa and her husband, Michael, of New York; and many nieces and nephews including, George Butzko of South Windsor, Michael Cabassa, DDS of Mystic, Barbara Roche of New York, Debra Kim of New York, Douglas Bourne of California, Geoff Bourne of West Virginia, Brian Luczkow of Nevada, Eric Luczkow of Georgia, and Valerie Luczkow of Alabama. She was predeceased by a sister, Lucretia Allen, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. in The Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, with Fr. Raja Selvaraj officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
