Joseph Leschinsky Obituary
Joseph "Sonny" Leschinsky, 91, of Old Forge, PA and formerly of Bridgeport died early Wednesday at home. His wife of 43 years, Joan Marie Roman Leschinsky, died in 1995.
Born in Old Forge, son of the late Stephen and Anna Skapyak Leschinsky, he was educated in the Old Forge School District. He and his wife were longtime residents of Bridgeport, CT, where he was employed by West End Moving and Storage. They returned to Old Forge in 1985. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
A man who made it known that his children were his world, he enjoyed life to the fullest, especially when in the presence of his family. Joe took pride in caring for his home and, in the past, enjoyed boxing and pool playing.
Surviving are two sons, Keith Leschinsky, and wife Patricia, and Stephen Leschinsky, and wife Nancy, all of Old Forge, PA; two daughters, Deborah Johnson, of Old Forge, PA and Tina Moores, of Monroe; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a son, James; a brother, Stephen; a sister, Mary Selego; and a grandson, Stephen Leschinsky.
The funeral will be Friday at 9:15 AM from the Victor M. Ferri Funeral Home, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge, PA with Divine Liturgy at 10:00 in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Old Forge. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Tina, Debbie, Stevie & Keith: I am so sorry to hear about your father's passing. He meant a lot to me growing up. I have very good memories of those times on Park Ave. He never minded me tagging along, I was just one more in the station wagon. I remember a few years ago Tina brought him by my house, the two of them riding down the street with the top down... Joe looked like a movie star!Of course me and my sister Karen fussed over him and he loved every minute of it. He was happy as can be. What a great lasting memory.
