Arthur M. Keating, age 75, of Fairfield, loving companion of Eileen Thomas, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Born and raised in Chelsea, MA., Arthur was a Bridgeport and Fairfield Town resident for most of his life. He had served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked for the Aquarion Water Co for over 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, Port V National Association of Naval Veterans, the American Legion Post 74 of Fairfield, the B.P.O.E Lodge 36 of Bridgeport and the Gaelic American Club. Art was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. A generous and outgoing person, Art was well liked by others and will be greatly missed. In addition to Eileen, survivors include a brother, Frank Henry and his wife Christine of Bridgeport, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother William Keating and sister Helen Henry. As were his wishes, there will be no services. Eileen would like to thank the staffs of Bridgeport Hospital, Carolton Health and Rehabilitation and DaVita Dialysis for the compasionate care that Art was given during his illness. Dear Eileen, I was so deeply saddened to hear of Art 's passing. He was such a pleasure to care for. I will miss our Red Sox/Yankee competitions! His positive attitude and sense of humor always came through! He will be greatly missed by all!
