Minnie Hare Obituary
Minnie L. Hare, 102 of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Newberry, SC to the late Albert and Liller Coleman Singley, Minnie was a resident of Bridgeport since 1954. She was a retired machine operator from General Electric. Her spiritual needs were met as a longtime disciple of Bethel A.M.E. Church where she served as a former Missionary, Stewardess, Sr. Choir member and Christian Education Ministry member. In addition to her parents, her husband L.C. (Rube) Hare, three sons, Louis, Sr., Bobby and Richard Hare and a sister, Inez Graham predeceased her. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Thomas and Charles Hare of Bridgeport; four daughters, Liller Bell Counts of MI, Helen Smith and Brenda Dye of Bridgeport and Shirley Wright of Stratford; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren, several nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016, 10:00 AM at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 110 Grove St., Bridgeport with Pastor Bernadette Hickman- Maynard, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends are invited to the viewing Friday, February 19, 2016, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Morton's Mortuary, Inc., 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport and Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the church. See www.mortonsmortuary.com.

I am saddened to hear about Ms. Minnie's passing.
Ms. Minnie was a part of my childhood and I will always have only fond memories of her.
Although she had a full life, I know she is missed.

To my family the Hare family, sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs, Minnie, or shall I say Cuzin Minnie, I have very good memories of her, a very sharp woman who had a mind sharp as a tact. It was always a pleasure to see her walking in church on Sunday morning, and see her sitting in her chair enjoying the church music, Mrs, Minnie you lived a very fruitful life, 102yrs old, and looked very well for your age, may you r.I.p and your soul lives on thru your family.
