Albert B. Hooks was born September 16, 1961 to the late Isaiah and Rebecca Hooks in New Haven, CT. He entered eternal rest in the comfort of his home October 15, 2016. He had been an Ansonia resident for several years. He was a member of West End Tabernacle Church in Bridgeport. Albert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who only knew the name "DAD". He was an employee of stop and shop for over thirty years. Albert spent every chance he got on the golf course. He was predeceased by his parents, his stepmother, Rosemary Hooks, daughter, Qwenisha Austin, brothers, Joseph and Nathan Hooks. Albert is survived by: his wife, Colleen Hooks of Ansonia; 2 sons, Albert B. Hooks Jr., and Corey Hooks of Ansonia; 6 daughters, Alana Hooks of West Haven; Catrenia Forbes of Waterbury; Joavonna Austin of Derby; Kadejah, Katesha and Joeneisha Austin all of Ansonia; 4 brothers, Isaiah (Rhonda) Hooks of MA; Clarence (Cheryl) Hooks of New Haven; Floyd (Rosalind) Hooks of MA; Willie D. Rogers of New Haven; 3 sisters, Beverly Hooks of New Haven; Grendette Hooks of NC; Nicole (Edward) Byrd of CT; 8 grandchildren, mother-in-law, Mildred Mckoy of CT and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at West End Tabernacle Church, 265 Colorado Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will take place following the service at Park Cemetery, 620 Lindley Street, Bridgeport. Friends are invited to the viewing from 9-11 a.m. at the church.
