Bruna Maleri, age 92, of Derby, entered into rest on Thursday March 2, 2017, At The Jewish Senior Services Home in Bridgeport surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Carl Maleri, Sr. Mrs. Maleri was born in Derby on March 22, 1924 daughter of the late Riccardo and Enrica (Ceccarelli) Cappellacci, and has been a lifelong Derby resident, and a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the Adriatic Marchegian Club in Derby. She enjoyed playing cards and going to the Casino, but most of all she had a love for cooking especially Sunday Dinner for her family.She is the beloved mother of Carl Maleri, Jr. and his wife Sophie, and Thomas Maleri. She also leaves five loving grandchildren Gregg Maleri, Krista Cafourek,Jeff Maleri, Mark Maleri, and Matthew Maleri, five cherished great grandchildren,and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Nancy Maleri, her sister Nancy Pressutto, and her three brothers Americo Cappellacci, Evo Cappellacci, and Graziano Cappellacci.
Friends may greet her family on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. On Monday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church Derby. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Derby.
