Corinne Sharp
SHARP Corinne, age 98, of Shelton, formerly of Stratford entered into peaceful rest on August 6, 2017 in her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Vernon Sharp for 61 years. Daughter of the late Eugene and Elsie Farren.
Corinne was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Stratford and volunteered at the Golden Rooster Shoppe for 37 years. She enjoyed camping with her family, an avid reader and later in life travelled to more than 14 countries with her husband, brother and friends. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to five daughters and their families: Judith Chesley, and her husband William of Charles Town WV, Linda Brower of Seymour, Amy Bowman of Milford, Beth Bell and her husband Kevin, of Milford and Janet Foote of Shelton; her nine grandchildren Chris and Craig Chesley, William and David Brower, Adam Sabol, Laura and Brian Foote, Patrick and Steven Bell; ten great-grandchildren; and her nephew Rick Farren, son of her late brother Jack Farren of California. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to her caregivers Carol, Kathy, Linda, Bev, Mabel, and Gwen.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 4 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 71 River Street, Milford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Connecticut Food Bank. The family is being compassionately cared for by the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
