AUGER Wallace C. Auger, age 77, of Fairfield, died Sunday, June 6, 2004, at 3030 Park Fairfield Convalescent Center. Born in Bridgeport, Mr. Auger was a resident of Fairfield for most of his life. He was a retired pattern maker for the Burndy Corporation. Mr. Auger was a member of the Fairfield Senior Pacers and was a former Boy Scout leader. He was an accomplished wood carver specializing in miniature furniture. An award-winning artist, Wallace used his skills to teach art and woodcarving at the Fairfield Senior Center, and was a contributing photographer to the former Fairfield Town Crier. He also published a book entitled "Humor on the Wing". Survivors include his wife, Ann Ockulacki-Auger of Fairfield; one son, Ronald Auger of Fairfield; one grandson, Ronald Auger, Jr.; and three nephews, Austin Auger, Richard DeAngelis and Ray Millington. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 11, 2004 at 10:00 am directly at St. Anthony's Church, Fairfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery.
