Pamela Walker, 59, of Grayfox Circle, Carlsbad, N.M., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Lakeview Christian Home.
There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Queen Cemetery with Rusty Smith officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Pamela Darline (Bell) Walker was born July 6, 1954, to Edwin Denny and Jewel Madeline Bell at St. Francis Hospital in Carlsbad, N.M. As a little child she went on many adventures with her brother and sisters in Happy Valley. She graduated Carlsbad High School in 1972. Soon after, she moved to Texas, where she would work and live in various places on the Gulf Coast. Pamela married Willis Grant Walker Nov. 19, 1974, in Houston, Texas. They spent time hunting and enjoyed spending time at the beach. They began adding to their family first with Wendalyn Gail on Nov. 17, 1981. Shortly after the birth of Camela Darline on July 30, 1985, as a family they moved back to Carlsbad, N.M. Pamela was a devoted wife and mother. She went on to be with the Lord Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013. She will be greatly missed.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Willis; daughter, Wendalyn Gail and Joshua Region; grandson, Walker James Region; daughter, Camela Darline and Jeremy Sowers; brother, Eddie and Melodee Bell; sister, Pat and Glen Havard; sister, Peggy and TJ Bush; brother-in-law, Jae Walker; sister in-law, Eydie Walker; and a large and loved extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel; and father, Edwin Bell; stepfather, Lester Mayfield; and granddaughter, Liberty Darline Sowers.
