Leatha Ann Tidwell

Memorial services for Leatha Ann Tidwell, 60, of Roswell, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. Leatha went home to heaven Wednesday, March 18, 2009.
Leatha  was born Sept. 21, 1948, to Malcolm H. Smith and Leatha Nadine Walker in Bisbee, Ariz. She was a lifelong resident of Roswell. Leatha worked at Levi Strauss Co. and retired after 20 years of service. She was currently employed with Brewer Oil Company. Leatha was a very kind and giving person and will always be remembered and loved by everyone who knew her.
Leatha is survived by her mother, Nadine Walker and her stepfather, Bob Walker both of Hondo, N.M.; three sons: Brad Tidwell and his wife, Shawna of Wasilla, Alaska, Derran Goins and his wife, Athena of Carlsbad, and Danny Goins; her former husband, Terry Tidwell of Carlsbad; one stepdaughter, Shawna White of Carlsbad; six grandsons: Caleb Tidwell of Wasilla, Alaska, Nolan, Christopher and Kyle Goins, all of Carlsbad, Christopher White and Cody Scobbee; three granddaughters: Leatha Goins and Brandy, both of Carlsbad, and Courtney Duncan of Texas; one brother, Rick Smith of Ruidoso; four great-grandchildren: Jade, Kristopher, Jeremiah and Rayn Scobbee, all of Carlsbad; three nieces: Amanda Roach of Portales, Crystal Marrow of Amarillo, and Tanya Pruitt of Texas; one nephew, Malcolm Smith of Hondo; and her very close friends: Glenda Williams, Shelly Lucero, Leandra Torres, Carrie Fitzpatrick and Sarah Goff.
Leatha was preceded in death by her father, Malcolm H. Smith; one son, Kelly Tidwell; one sister, Pam Smith; and one uncle, Marvin Lynch.
