Ricky Ray Lemon, 64, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Carlsbad Medical Center.

He was born in Vernon, Texas, on Dec. 1, 1948, to Arvel and Earldine Lemon. The family then moved to Carlsbad, where he grew up and graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1966. He was preceded in death by his father.
Ricky is survived by his son, Cory Ray Lemon of Carlsbad; his daughter, Carrie Langton and husband, Darrin of Gilbert, Ariz.; his mother, Earldine Lemon of Elk City, Okla.; brother, Larry Lemon and wife, Carol of Mayhill; sister, Patricia Gunsolus and husband, Leonard of Elk City, Okla.; grandsons: Avery and Riley Langton of Gilbert, Ariz., and Clayton Lemon of Carlsbad; nephews: Danny Gunsolus of Elk City, Okla., and Mark Lemon and family of Carrolton, Texas.
A memorial service is set for 2 p.m. today (Sept. 7) at the Carlsbad Cemetery Pavilion with interment to follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.
