Juan Cuevas Gonzalez, 76, of East Cedar Street, Loving, N.M., passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Texas Specialty Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at River of Life Church with Pastor Ramon Florez officiating.

Juan Cuevas Gonzalez was born on August 22, 1937, in Piedras Negras, Mexico, to Alvaro and Rosa (Cuevas) Gonzalez. He loved being with his family and friends. Juan enjoyed cooking out. He worked his whole life in construction. Juan had a strong faith in God and was a member of River of Life Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; one sister and two brothers.
Survivors are his wife of 48 years, Emma Gonzalez of Loving; children: Juan Gonzalez Jr of Odessa, Celia Ortega of Loving, David Gonzalez of Rio Rancho, Roman A. Gonzalez of Midland, Freddie Gonzalez of Loving, Edward John Gonzalez of Carlsbad, Stacy Gonzalez of Lawton, Okla.; sister, Cruz Bailey of Rio Rancho; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
