Patricia "Trish" Carlson, 75, of Crown Court, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Covenant Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, February 20, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Cavern Baptist Church with Pastor Dick Means officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Patricia "Trish" Carlson was born March 27, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Lilas (Doyle) Wood. She served as a counselor for New Beginnings Pregnancy Center and was a member of North Mesa Senior Citizens Center. Trish was involved with Calico Christmas. She enjoyed line dancing and was a member of Country Gold Line Dancers. Trish was a member of Cavern Baptist Church where she was involved in many church activities. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting and knitting.
Survivors are her husband, James Lee Carlson of Carlsbad, NM; son, Gregg Redmond and wife, Lisa of Attica, Michigan; daughters: Christena Bader and husband, Kevin of Hayden, Alabama, Charlyn Young and husband, Michael of Palmetto, Florida, Rhonda McCarthy and husband, Bradley of Windsor, Canada and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Jack Simpson, Robert Durr, Frank Ballard, Jim Denny, Kyler Madron and Howard Holcomb. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
