Roy Kemper Obituary

Roy "Red" "R.H." Henry Kemper Jr., 69, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008, at his home, from Multiple Sclerosis and COPD. He was born in El Paso, Texas, on March 28, 1939, to Roy and Perrene Kemper, and graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1957. He also graduated from New Mexico State University and attended Texas Tech University. Roy was employed by General Telephone Company of the Southwest for 33 years in New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, BerniaDean Kemper of San Angelo; daughter, Andrea Kemper and partner, Syvilla Wynn of Oklahoma City; daughter, Renee and husband, Jeff Jegelwicz of Oklahoma City; daughter, Rose and husband, Larry Craig of Roswell; son, Maurice Menoud of Midland, Texas; son, Raymond Menoud of Artesia; daughter, Brenda Robinson and Dan Dalglish of Midland; daughter, Ruth and husband, Keith Price of Lovington; and sister, Pati and brother-in-law, John Beatty of Lubbock, Texas. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Kemper Sr., mother, Perrene Kemper, father-in-law, Tom Sperling, mother-in-law, Rose Sperling, and grandson, Shawn Craig.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to the loving friends and staff from Hospice and Girling. Their love and compassion has touched our hearts deeply.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Johnson's Funeral Home. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. in Roswell. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made in the name of Roy Kemper to any Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Really! Really!
