Frlora N. Najar, 81, of North Oak Street, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at home.  Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday (June 27) at San Jose Catholic Church. Father Valentine Jankowski OFM Conv., will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery (old section). Vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at San Jose Catholic Church.  There is no visitation; cremation has taken place.  Condolences may be expressed at westfuneralhomellc.com
Flora N. Najar was born to Antonio and Florence (Santa Cruz) Navarrete on February 18, 1933 in Carlsbad, NM.
Flora and Salvador Acosta Najar were married September 3, 1955 in Carlsbad, NM. Flora was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was employed in the Eddy County Treasurers Office from 1976-1981 and a longtime member of San Jose Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband and brother Aurelio Navarrete.
Flora is survived by sons: Louis Najar of Roswell, NM and Salvador Najar, Jr. and daughter Anna Galindo, both of Carlsbad, NM; brothers, Eutimio (Timo) Navarrete  of San Antonio, TX and Eduardo (Lalo) Navarrete of Albuquerque, NM and sister, Otilia N. (Tila) Hernandez of Carlsbad, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are: Louie Najar, Henry Sal Galindo, Cy Morales, Isaiah Ingram, Gabriel Najar and Alek Nathan Vallejos.
