Cpt. Lyle Barron grew up in Carlsbad, was in the Air Force, then became a lawyer and then a judge. He had lived in various places throughout the U.S. before returning to Carlsbad to retire.
Lyle loved flying jets in the Air Force. He loved getting on the computer and the connections with the world it brought. He wrote some articles for the newspaper, and loved the replies he got whether or not they agreed with him.
He loved building things with tools, and looking for the tools that would make it easier.
He loved dogs, which was something both Barbara and he had in common. Jackpot and Sadie were the last dogs to be a part of his life.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Emmitt and Artie; and his daughter, Michaela.
He is survived by Barbara, the love of his life; his two sons: David and Robert; daughter-in-law, Diana; and four grandchildren.
