Patsy Hinds, beloved wife of 46 years, mother of two and grandmother of eight, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 10, 2013, in Katy, Texas, after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Patsy grew up in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and married her sweetheart in 1966. They eventually settled in Houston, Texas, where they raised their two children, and Patsy carried mail for the U.S. Post Office until she retired 1999 and returned to Carlsbad in 2009.
She is survived by her husband, John ``Ed'' Hinds; her mother-in-law, Mildred Hinds; and her brother, James ``Jimmy'' Jump, all of Carlsbad, N.M.; her daughter and son-in-law, Dan and Kim Horrell of Katy, Texas; her son, Rick Hinds of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren of Katy, Texas, and Thompson Station, Tenn., and many other loved ones.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Katy Magnolia Cemetery, in Katy, Texas, with the Rev. Jeff Adams officiating.
From all of us who were blessed enough to have been a part of her life, we love you and we will miss you dearly. Heaven is surely a better place because you are there. Peace be with you and may God keep you in His arms until we meet again.
