James E. McKinney, 66, Cynthiana, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at his residence.
He was born on May 10, 1946 in Bourbon County to the late Russell Reed Sr. and Anna Mary Turner McKinney. He was a member of the Hour of Deliverance Chapel and an employee of Western Pacific Storage Solution in Paris and Plant Services INC. in Georgetown.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Reed McKinney Jr. and Raymond Thomas McKinney; two sisters, Betty Sue McKinney Bays and Dorotha Louise McKinney Groves; a sister-in-law, Edna Dunn McKinney; and a brother-in-law, Keith 'Red' Bays.
Survivors include: his wife of 44 years, Deana Carroll Gaunce McKinney; a son, Jessie Walter (Tiffany Crump) McKinney, Cynthiana; two brothers, Charles Lewis (Minnie) McKinney, Cynthiana and George William (Betty) McKinney, Georgia; five sisters, Emma Margaret (John) Phillips Sr., Harrison County, Mary Russell McKinney, Lexington, Ruth (Noel, Sr.) Phillips, Harrison County, Bobbie Jean (James) Baxter, Bourbon County and Anne Wells, Frankfort; a beloved granddaughter, Macaela Grace McKinney; a sister-in-law, Bertha McKinney, Cynthiana; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend Charles 'Pooter' Crump.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Ware Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
