Norman Price Obituary

Norman Grant Price, 87, Cynthiana, Ky., died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Ky.
He was born in Harrison County, Ky., Sept. 7, 1925, to the late John Washington and Martha Haley Price. He was retired from the Harrison County Road Department and had also been a farmer, Kawneer and Blake and Johnson employee, was a member of Sunrise Christian Church. He was a well known fiddle player having played for many events through the years including Renfro Valley, was an airplane and motorcycle enthusiast, and a Kentucky Colonel.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Pugh, Falmouth.
Survivors include: his wife, Martha Wells Price; his daughter, Patricia Carter, Lexington, Ky.; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday, Jan. 7 at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by the Rev. Clifford Neat and the Rev. Larry Lee Jones. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Keith Pugh, Charles Hanna, Chuck Mullikin, Donald Jackson, Dr. Don Stephens, Glenn Thacker, and Beatty Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearer was Bobby Flora.
