Charles Lee Ramsey, 69, Mt. Olivet, Ky., died Sunday, May 5, 2013, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville, Ky.
He was born in Bracken County, Ky. on July 18, 1943, a son of the late Arnold and Garnetta Price Ramsey. On July 7, 1962, he married his childhood sweetheart, Wanda Dorton Ramsey, and his dear wife of 50 years survives his passing. A graduate of Bracken County High School, he was a lifetime dairyman and tobacco farmer and a member of Oakland Christian Church, Pendleton County. He worked at the former Kroger in Cynthiana for 15 years and will always be remembered as a good neighbor and friend.
In addition to his wife, Wanda, he is survived by: three daughters, Debby McCane, Lisa Maybrier and Penny (Billy) Hubbard, all of Robertson County, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Marcus and Elizabeth McCane, Dylan and Sierra Maybrier, Chase Cain, Christopher Baxter, and Breanna Hubbard; one sister, Peggy Ishmael; one brother, Orie Hugh Ramsey; and a host of extended family and friends.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 9 at 1 p.m. at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, with Bro. Jim Flaugher officiating. Interment will take place in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana.
Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews, Robbie Ishmael, Steve Greene, Mickey Parson, Kevin Applegate, Randy Wolfe, and Doug Wolfe.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Dr., Maysville, KY 41056.
