Simpson, Lois Ann - Cynthiana  
Lois Ann Hounchell Simpson, 76, Cynthiana, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Harrison County, April 18, 1938 to the late Robert and Emma Lou Withers Wade. She was a Walmart retiree and a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Hounchell; two brothers, Robert Dale Wade and Donald Roger Wade; sister, Carolyn Mae Williams; and a son, Dwayne Hounchell. Survivors include: a son, Darrin Hounchell, Cynthiana; two daughters, Vickie (Ray) Woolums, Scott County and Linda (Rick) Gasser, Cynthiana; a sister, Rita Link, Cynthiana; a special nephew, Steve Wade, Lexington; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Sunday, Nov. 9 at Ware funeral Home by Randy Wilson and Mitch Farthing. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Hospice of the Bluegrass or the Pleasant Green Baptist Church Building Fund. www.warefuneralhome.com

Stacy, Anna Mae - Lexington  
Anna Mae ""Betsy"" Stacy, 96, Cynthiana, Ky., died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014. She was born in Lexington on April 28, 1918 to the late Dave and Katherine Wagner Edwards. She was a homemaker, farmer, and member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Cynthiana. She loved the Lord, her church, her family, cooking, and had a soft spot in her heart for animals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Stacy; a daughter, Bobbie Ann; and five siblings. Survivors include: a daughter, Shirley Saunders (Allan); sister, Lorena Ellis of Frankfort; granddaughters, Charlotte Leedy and Juawanna Schuller (Bryce); grandson, Robert Saunders (Melodie); and great-grandchildren, Matthew Leedy, Troye Leedy (Stefanie), Andrew Saunders, Alex Saunders, Brenna Schuller and Luke Schuller; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 5 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road in Lexington. The Rev. Steve Gehring and the Rev. Mike Barres officiated. Burial followed in Lexington Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Calvary Assembly of God, 325 Webster Ave., Cynthiana, KY 41031 or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504.

Stewart, Wallace K. - Mt. Olivet  
Wallace K. Stewart, 90, Mt. Olivet, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Herbert and Mabel Insko Stewart. He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Wallace Stewart. Survivors include: his wife, Ina Bell Stewart; and a son, Marvin Glenn Stewart, Mt. Olivet. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 18 at Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Doug Wright. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
