Dillard Wade

Dillard Wade, 89, of Cynthiana, Ky., died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Hospice Care in Lexington, Ky.
He was born in Harrison County, Ky., Jan. 25, 1923, to the late Dudley D. and Mary Jane Karrick Wade. He was a retired farmer and member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife of 69 years, Allene Wiggins Wade; two sons, David Wade, Richmond, Ky., and Gerald (Bonie) Wade, Cynthiana; one daughter, Wanda (Russell) Vaughn, Cynthiana; one brother, William Wade and one sister, Lillian Livingood, both of Cynthiana; eight grandchildren, Bradley (Emily) Vaughn, Andrew Vaughn, Kiley (Mia) Vaughn, Jason (DeAnna) Wade, Justin Wade, Rachel (Walter) Ravencraft, Ginnifer (Cris) Barnes and Wesley (Jessika) Wade; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by the Rev. Chad Broaddus, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Green Baptist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
