George Raymond Marsh, 87, Harrison County, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Harrison County, July 30, 1925 to the late Orie Nicholas and Kathleen Judy Marsh. He was a farmer, member and elder of Salem Church of Christ and wrote a Bible column for the Cynthiana Democrat. He was a United States Marine veteran, lifetime member of the Marine Corp League and VFW Post 4075 of Frankfort.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kary Frances Palmer Marsh and two brothers, Harold Neal Marsh and Charles Judy Marsh.
Survivors include: two sons, Mark R. (Delores) Marsh, Harrison County and George N. (Ramona) Marsh, New Albany, Ind.; three daughters, Ellen (Gary) McCauley, Burlington, Iowa, Nancy Littlepage, Louisville and Dawn (Danny) Price, Harrison County; a brother, John O. (Gaye) Marsh, Harrison County; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Sunday, Feb. 10 at Salem Church of Christ. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
