William N. Lyons(1921 - 2013)

William ""Moosh"" N. Lyons, 91, Harrison County, died Jan. 13, 2013 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 25, 1921 in Harrison County to the late William Alexander and Elizabeth Neff Lyons. He was retired employee from Bundy Tubing, member of Robinson Christian Church, lifetime fan of the Chicago Cubs and a World War II Army veteran. He received five Bronze Service Stars and the World War II Victory medal. He served in the 3rd Army under General George S. Patton, his five major battle campaigns were Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Bessie Lee Landrum Lyons, and a brother, Jack Lyons.
Survivors include: two sons, William Alexander (Jennifer) Lyons and Terry Jack (Paula) Lyons, both of Cynthiana; a sister, Gayle Bonfield, Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Alexa D. (Josh) Biddle, Lauren N. (Adam) Hill, William Isaac Lyons, Aaron Michael (Rachel) Lyons, Catherine Lewis, Mason Lewis and Kelsey L. Cummins; and a great-grandson, Bryson Gregory Alexander Biddle.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. at Ware Funeral Home by the Rev. Wayne Smith and Bro. Stephen Staggs. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
