Bascom Whitaker ""B.W."" Martin Sr., 92, Cynthiana, Ky., died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Cedar Ridge Health Care Campus.
He was born in Harrison County, Ky., Oct. 14, 1921, to the late Samuel B. and Ethel Lula Whitaker Martin. He was in manufacturing and retired from Milacron, was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #365 in Ohio, Scottish Rite and a Shriner. He was an honorably discharged Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Kuster Martin, his son, Bascom Whitaker ""Bud"" Martin Jr. and his sister, Geneva Zeuty Bennett.
Survivors include: two sons, Barry K. Martin, Cynthiana and Brent L. (Mary Jo) Martin, Loveland, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday, Dec. 2 at the First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery. Masonic services and military honors were conducted at Battle Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
