Bobby Ray Gillispie, 64, Sadieville, Ky., husband of Linda Fightmaster Gillispie, died suddenly Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012.
A native of Sadieville, he was the son of the late Omar B. and Janie Hedger Gillispie. He was a lifelong tobacco and cattle farmer, a retired Toyota Logistics Services employee and Vietnam Conflict Army veteran. Memberships included Sadieville Christian Church, American Legion Scott Post 24 and the VFW Donald Martin Post 7054. He was an avid fan of UK basketball and Cincinnati Reds baseball.
Survivors include: his wife; two daughters, Katie (David) Sankbeil and Karen (Keith) Lancaster; one granddaughter, Elise Lancaster; five siblings, John Franklin Gillispie, Mary Lorraine (Harry) Jones, Danny Gillispie, his twin, Brenda (Jerry) Jones and Bonnie (Bill) Mullannix; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Opal Skaggs Fightmaster; sister-in-law, Carole Tiemann; and brother-in-law, Robert (Renita) Fightmaster.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Johnson's Funeral Home, Georgetown by Scott Meadows, Minister. Burial with military rites was in Sadieville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Randy Jones, Keith Fightmaster, Dalton and James Neal, Tom Cook, Paul Zeysing, Randall McDowell and Cliff Miller.
Honorary pallbearers were: his brothers and brothers-in-law and Woody White, Mike Zeysing and Buddy Switzer.
